The "Hurry-up" Call. Getting your machine to market ASAP!

It can happen anytime during the year. We have a name for it, we call it, The "Hurry-up" call.

You ordered a machine, snagged a great deal from the new Doosan or Haas dealer (insert OEM of choice here), or from the friendly competitor down the road… and now you realize you need the floor space for the incoming machine. This often happens in December – all part of the annual Christmas rush. Thus the below checklist.

Ideally someone on your team would call a trusted MDNA used dealer prior to ordering the new machine. This allows you to have an idea of ROI on your outgoing machine, and also to learn how quickly it might sell if brokered, or what price you can expect if sold to a stocking dealer. We are comfortable working either way, but our process still has required steps that need to be considered.

Depending on the season and the year, different machine types can be “hot” at different times. Depending if aero or auto is on the rise, or military or medical is more in demand. This may reflect in demand and value of your machine (for actual formal appraisal considerations, please inquire).

Another thing to consider is the time it takes to get your machine to market. If we cannot travel to your shop we are depending on your team to clean the machine and take great pics that correctly present the quality to a potential buyer (see 5-real-tips-selling-machines-fast).
